Similar to how every person’s energy field is shaped by their unique experiences and emotions, I have found that the Earth’s energy also varies dramatically by  location .  This is entirely based  on my own personal experience.  I would love to hear if you have experienced this or something else in your own life

Most days, I practice a Hara Alignment Meditation.  I invite my spiritual guides in and connect deeply with the Earth, which is when I am most attuned to the Earth’s energy.  At home, the grounding process feels easy, comfortable and calming.  When I visit a beach- whether in California, Hawaii, or another state- the energy shifts to something deeply healing and nurturing. like a warm hug from Mother Earth.  However, when I stand or sit on volcanic formations in Hawaii, that softness gives way to power, carrying a tangible sense of strength and subtle movement.

My trip to Iceland last year offered a completely different experience.  Iceland boasts an incredibly diverse landscape, defined by sweeping meadows, a few cities, vast stretches of open land (desert, volcanic & more), and 130 volcanoes-30 are active, and a few cities.  The first time I meditated there, I was surprised by the intensity of the energy.  The moment I invited the Earth’s energy in and started to send my grounding cord downward, it felt as though it was physically grabbed and pulled straight to the core. The energy was very powerful and constantly in motion.  It did not feel hostile or harmful; it was just operating at a much higher intensity and flow. It made me feel protected and strong.  This intense sensation happened every single time I grounded in Iceland, whether I was on a beach, in a city, on a volcano, in a meadow, literally everywhere!

I started to wonder why the energy here was so intense? Was it the number of active volcanoes, the abundance of wide open spaces, or something else?

I started looking at the numbers.  The USA is roughly 95 times larger in square miles than Iceland, yet our population is 857 times larger. I began to wonder if high population density and less open space alter how we perceive the Earth’s frequency.  Could a massive human population create a layer of energetic “static“ that we have to actively push through to connect with the Earth?  Or does crowding simply dampen the frequency I can feel?

Australia offered yet another fascinating contrast. There the energy had more strength, and when I entered the rainforest, I was overwhelmed by a sense of reverence.  Perhaps that was amplified by our preparation: we participated in a traditional smoke ceremony to cleanse our energy before entering and we were instructed not to touch anything- even the plants- without permission, as many could cause harm. It leaves me wondering: was it my mindset and the sacred context shaping my experience, or was it something inherent to the land itself?
