Pain is actually your body’s alarm system to warn you about potential problems. For example, if you didn’t feel pain when you grabbed a hot pot on the stove you would burn yourself and potentially cause severe and permanent damage. That is why your body’s response is to release various chemicals and send pain messages to the brain to reduce harm to the distressed area.

When the body recognizes an injured area the inflammation process is initiated because that starts the healing process. Inflammation increases blood flow to the area, elevates the temperature which helps to kill bacteria and prevent infection and produces swelling and pain in an attempt to get you to rest the area. However, when inflammation and pain persist it can be very detrimental to the body, mind and spirit. When you use oils as part of a pain management program to reduce or alleviate pain you must look at what is going on in the body physically and address any emotional issues as well.

For example someone with back pain, is it a herniated disc, pulled muscle, muscles spasms or something else that caused it? If an accident caused the pain that person might feel anger or resentment towards whoever caused the accident. If the person is depressed because it has changed their lifestyle then that must be addressed also. I normally use an oil blend or layer 2 – 3 different oils when addressing pain so I can cover all aspects of the pain. Would you like a list of some common conditions and a few oils that could help with pain management? Then complete the sign-up form  and I will email it to you!

Essential oils will not cure the condition, they support the systems involved so your body can help heal itself.  They also help to uplift spirits and aid in releasing trauma so you can heal.

Yes, I want that list of conditions and oils!
