Quench heartburn and other digestive problems with medicinal aromatherapy instead of TUMS for better health. Did you know that TUMS can cause rebound acid because it is calcium based? That’s right it may help for a short time but then it actually creates more acid. Other antacids can cause diarrhea and other unpleasant side effects. I prefer to use medicinal aromatherapy which has no side effects and neutralizes the excess acid naturally.
With digestive issues sometimes you need to blend 2 or 3 oils in order to get the desired effect. An aromatherapist will test you to find out which oils YOUR BODY needs and then create a blend that is balanced and will work with your body and its specific chemistry.
Personally I like taking the oils orally because I like the taste and receive 100% of the oil. Many of my clients also prefer this method. I put 1-2 drops of a citrus oil such as lemon, orange or grapefruit in 4 -6 oz of water and drink, it is very refreshing. Remember you must use THERAPEUTIC GRADE OILS if you choose to take them internally. If you don’t know what a therapeutic grade oil is click here. Two well-known remedies for digestive problems are ginger and peppermint. Peppermint is very strong and can irritate the lips when taken in water so I prefer to put 1 – 2 drops in a teaspoon of blue agave or honey and take it orally. For other oils such as petitgrain, fennel or marjoram you can put 2-3 drops in a capsule then fill with carrier oil and take as needed or 1 -2 times a day if a chronic problem.
One thing I like about using the oils is they can be blended with a carrier oil and applied topically to the lower chest and stomach area or inhaled for those that do not want to take something by mouth. This is an excellent method of application for the elderly or very young and allows for the added benefit of touch to occur which can be soothing in and of itself. When using this method dilute the oils 50-50 and apply 6-10 drops as needed. If the heartburn is a chronic problem using the oils regularly 2 – 3 times a day will help with prevention. You can also apply the oils to the feet on the reflexology points of the stomach and intestines. Massage the areas in a clockwise motion with 3-4 drops per foot.

Spot on with this write-up, I really think this website needs much more attention. I’ll probably be back again to

You are welcome for the information. My goal is to empower people so they can help to heal themselves naturally.
In some cases that will work but for deeper and older scars that will not be possible.
Yes you are correct. Using essential oils is only one part of the healing process. In order to fully manage chronic pain you must incorporate your mind and spirit as well. I use healing touch (a form of energy medicine) and guided imagery when I work with clients. They learn various techniques to help manage the pain and live better.
